EULEAD Summer School 2021 - Preface Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner

"Human dignity" as the top priority

The EULEAD Summer School 2021 on the topic of "Digital Leadership" at Göttweig Abbey impressively underlines the great importance of an efficient leadership style with ethical, value-oriented thinking and acting. Especially now, in our fast-moving times, which are increasingly characterized by a lack of solidarity and a loss of values, people need a togetherness that is more helpful and up-to-date for our lives and the world of work than seldom before.

New technical possibilities, changes in society, changes in the workplace, all these characteristics of our time create challenges and insecurity. At the same time, our need for support, orientation, stability and security is growing. The question of principles to build on is getting louder and louder. The longing for values that guide us through life is growing.

So I wish the EULEAD Summer School, which examines leadership and business in areas of tension and deals with finding the right balance, a good course and all participants important impulses, in-depth knowledge and valuable encounters. In this sense it is also a pleasure and honor for me to take on the honorary patronage for this event. A heartfelt "Vergelt's Gott" to all who are taking part and to those who worked together to make this event possible.
